Mumbai

Aurangabad is the largest city in central Maharashtra and a good base for exploring the UNESCO caves at Ellora and Ajanta. Also, close by is the extraordinary 14th century hill fortress of Daulatabad. A little further away is Lonar, the site of a massive meteorite crater.
