This small, holy pilgrimage town of lakes and 400 temples is most well-known for the annual Pushkar Camel Fair which takes place every year around October/November.

Brahma Temple

This is one of the few temples in India dedicated to Lord Brahma, who was cursed by his wife Savitri when he invited a tribal girl to take her place at a ritual.

Pushkar Ghats

Pushkar has a remarkable 52 Ghats, or steps, leading down to the lake. Devout Hindus make at least one pilgrimage to Pushkar and bathe at tyhe holy ghats to wash away their sins.
