Mirihi - Description
We absolutely love Mirihi. The accommodation is fresh and stylish, the beaches are excellent, food is first class and snorkelling on the house reef is some of the best we have experienced in the Maldives. What makes this resort exceptional is the high quality personal service provided by the management team which is delivered in a relaxed but efficient manner.
It is a small sized island, 350 m long and 50 m wide and takes around 15 minutes to walk around the perimeter. The island is well tended and has a stylish, minimalist feel to it. Decked walkways link together the main public areas which comprise of the reception area, boutique shop, bar and main restaurant. The main jetty leading out over the turquoise ocean from reception takes you to the intimate a la carte restaurant ‘Muraka’. This is also the setting for sunset cocktails on the outdoor terrace. Gaze back over this tiny idyllic island as the setting sun slowly turns the vista through various shades of pink and you will find yourself truly in paradise. The beaches are wide and of fine talcum powder sand with the occasional sun lounger and parasol dotted about. With only 36 rooms in total, the beaches are never crowded – it is more likely that you won’t see anyone else at all!
