Niyama is a unique and extremely cool island, with a funky contemporary vibe. Actually not one, but two islands called Play and Chill, linked by a causeway. Niyama is a glorious Maldivian island, long and thin with magnificent white sand beaches stretching uninterrupted along almost the entire shore line. Niyama is located in the south western atoll of Dhaalu and is reached by a 40 minute seaplane flight from Malé International Airport. (Seaplanes can only operate during daylight hours). For an alternative option, guests can take a 30-minute domestic flight from Malé International Airport to the newly opened Dhaalu Airport, followed by a 10-minute speedboat transfer to Niyama.
